From creative arts to fitness programs, local organizations are offering welcoming, affordable ways to help you stay engaged, meet new people, and feel your best.
Located at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre, Belleville’s 50+ Centre offers a wide range of volunteer-led programs, including card games, craft groups, art workshops, board games, and educational seminars.
To explore current programs and activities, read the Belleville Older Adult Centre Spring Newsletter and discover how you can stay active and engaged. You can also visit the Older Adult Centre online to find classes suited to your fitness level, ranging from beginner to more challenging options.
The Belleville Quinte West Community Health Centre offers activities including exercise classes, cardio drumming, crocheting, and more.
In Prince Edward County, the Baxter Arts Centre and Community Care for Seniors also offer a variety of programs for older adults, including creative arts and fitness opportunities.
Bridge Street United Church and St Matthew’s United offer a variety of activities where you can come together, connect, and have fun!
As a not-for-profit gym, all money made on memberships at Bancroft Fitness will be put back into improving the gym, adding classes and equipment.
Local libraries are another great resource, with programs such as book clubs, computer workshops, discussion and writing groups, and crafting sessions.
